Charlotte CARE Center

The Charlotte CARE Center, formerly the Charlotte County Homeless Coalition, is a point of entry for homeless services, open 365 days a year. Our Emergency Shelter provides a safe, supervised, low barrier shelter for up to 30-days. On any given day, 10-15 children and their families call the Emergency Shelter home. Our philosophy is to quickly move newly homeless clients from Emergency Shelter back into permanent housing through intensive case management. The number one service we provide is stability and keeping families intact. With a “housing first” approach, those enrolled in the CARE Center are assessed and placed with counselors who work together on specialized housing plans with the goal of permanent and stable housing.
